Tent Camping
8 person camping tent
Camping in India as an outdoor adventure activity is in its nascent stage. Only recently people started talking about camping in wilderness. Glamping is more like it. For first time campers GreenAcres provides a controlled environment and makes sure you have a good first time experience. Here's a survival checklist that gives an idea of what's required for camping outdoors. One can buy the camping gear at local stores like Wildcraft. REI is another great outdoor adventure gear store if you have someone coming from the USA. You can learn how to pitch the tent that we provide and camp for the night in your sleeping bags and enjoy the outdoor camping experience around the campfire. One can enjoy the camping experience of cooking simple food on the conventional firewood stoves and Barbecue (BBQ) grill. Spend a quite night at the campground with bare necessities. Once you get a hang of it you can explore other exciting campgrounds referred in the Indian Adventure website.
Farm Tour & Field Work
We provide an educational tour of our farm to the visitors and our campers and provide information about organic farming methods and good agricultural practices. We inculcate a sense of responsibility and concern for our environment in the young and impressionable minds of the children by providing facts and showing them the hard work that goes into food production. You can take part in the farm work such as weeding, composting, trenching, digging and tree planting. This makes people have a better understanding and appreciation for the food on the dining tables. We also screen movies and documentaries in our open air theater on subjects related to environment, wildlife, nature and planet earth.
Nature Walk and Hiking
The soothing effects of the green environs, pleasant countryside climate, the sounds of the birds and the peaceful atmosphere relaxes your body much quicker than a stuffy room with air conditioning. Get up early in the morning with a refreshing feeling and take a walk on the nature trails and spot some wild life. If you are lucky you could spot wild peacocks, snakes, monitor lizards and a variety of other birds. Breathe some sweet smelling fresh and unpolluted air and get rejuvenated.
